Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant
REQUIREMENTS
1. Technical Skills and Experience
ERP Systems Expertise
● Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
or its predecessor, Dynamics NAV.
● Proven ability to implement, configure, and optimize ERP systems to meet client needs.
System Implementation Knowledge
In-depth understanding of implementation processes, including:
● Business requirements analysis
● System design and configuration
● Integration with third-party applications (e.g., payment systems, inventory management, etc.)
● Testing, go-live support, and post-implementation troubleshooting
Cloud Environment Proficiency
● Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud deployments.
● Understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services related to ERP systems.
Reporting and Data Analysis:
● Experience creating custom reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI (preferable) or
Jet Reports.
● SQL skills for database queries and report generation will be a valuable asset
Certification
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (or a
commitment to obtaining it within 6 months).
2. Business and Industry Knowledge
Business Process Insights
● Strong knowledge of core business processes, including finance, supply chain,
manufacturing, sales, and customer service.
● Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose Business Central-driven solutions to improve
operations.
Sector Experience
Familiarity with SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses) across industries such as retail,
distribution, manufacturing, and services.
3. Regional Expertise
Localization Knowledge
● Awareness of Slovak and Czech financial regulations, tax codes (e.g., VAT), and other
compliance requirements.
● Familiarity with localized features and functionalities of Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Language Proficiency
● Fluency in English (essential) for documentation, collaboration with international teams, and Microsoft certifications.
● Fluency in Slovak or Czech.
● Ukrainian or Russian (preferred) to support clients from Eastern European markets.
4. Soft Skills
Communication and Collaboration
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Slovak, Czech, and English.
● Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
Client-Focused Mindset
● Experience in conducting user training, workshops, and support sessions.
● Skilled at understanding client pain points and translating them into actionable solutions.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking
● Proficient in diagnosing issues and recommending efficient solutions.
● Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
5. Additional Skills (Preferred)
● Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
● Basic understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (e.g., Teams, SharePoint) for integrated
workflows.
● Experience working in multicultural and multilingual environments
Experience with other Dynamics 365 products, in addition to Dynamics 365 Business Central,
would be a significant advantage.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
Customization and Development Skills (Preferred)
● Understanding of AL language for Business Central customization abilities.
● Familiarity with the Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate), and APIs for enhancing
system capabilities.
